Austin Healey : 3000 BJ8 Beautifully Restored 1967 Red Austin Healey 3000 MK III Phase II BJ 8 Roadster
Beautifully Restored 1967 Red Austin Healey 3000 MK III, Phase II, BJ 8, Roadster (Last year of the big Healeys, which makes it one of the most desirable models/years to invest in and collect) Appeared on a 2012 sports car market "buy" list as a car that was then worth more than $70K and described as an excellent investment for tomorrow. The car has been shown twice and won First in Class and a Bronze Concours Medal at the 2014 Austin Healey Conclave at the Homestead in West Virginia. Throughout the years, the Austin Healey retained its original look: softly rounded lines, oval grille and a long hood and short rear deck. Healeys are one of the most attractive sports cars with a style and appearance still pleasing to the eye today. HISTORY/BACKGROUND Starting with a four cylinder 100/4 in 1953, Austin Healeys changed to six cylinder power in late 1956 with the first 100/6. The 300 MK I first debuted in 1959, the MK II in 1961 and the first of the MK IIIs in 1964. The MK IIs differed from ...

Austin Healey : Sprite 1962 austin healey with bugeye front end and datsun 510 motor transmission
This is a 1962 Sprite with a Bugeye front end conversion. This is not a true Bugeye. This started as a father son project but my son has lost interest in the car and desires to work on motorcycles. Such is youth. The original motor had a 0-60 in 19+ seconds. In other words don't try to merge on the freeway. So we decided to put in a 1.6L Datsun/Nissan 510 Engine and 4 Speed Transmission. To accomplish this the transmission tunnel was cut out and the transmission cross frame as well. The engine will now fit but will need engine mounts fabricated. The Datsun 1.6L motor came out of a 1972 Datsun 510. The engine was machined 0.040 over by a local shop and reassembled by my son and I. Overall the car is in very solid shape. Floor pans are in good condition as are the rockers. The seats have been recovered and look very nice. Interior, good condition (the metal) just looks like a mess. There are no major dents or damage that I can see. BUT it is not ready to paint. Not in the pictures but included ...

Austin Healey : 3000 1965 austin healey 3000 bj 8 roadster
Historical research has uncovered some of the more recent restoration efforts on this roadster. It was put into a storage barn in Albany, New York in 1987 and purchased by a collector in 1999. At that point it was treated to restoration of several areas by the owner of the British Motor Corporation in Philadelphia. They were noted to be the largest restorer and service establishment of Healey’s in the United States at the time. The car received new floors, sils, wiring, mild mechanical rebuild of the engine and transmission, new exhaust, hydraulics, and interior. It was restored for a client that wanted a nice straight number 2+ car as a driver. The primary focus at the time was to produce a well sorted out car; strong straight lines, solid body and frame. In late 2007, the car was purchased back by the same shop and then the exterior and door jambs received a bare metal strip and repainted using the correct shade of Colorado Red in January. The new finish (highest grade Urethane primers, ...
