1947 Nash Ambassador Super 1947 Nash Ambassador

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE 1947 Nash Ambassador 6v 234.8 OHV straight six engine Borg Warner T-86 3spd w/overdrive column shift Had this for almost 2 years, too many projects to finish out the completion, and need to thin down the fleet. Great condition for age Had it running good, but fuel tank had lots of rust and needed to be replaced. Rebuilt the carb professionally at at my carb guy's shop. Bought a new tank to drop in but never had the time to do it. Will come with the new gas tank still in box. I was going to do a 12v conversion, but the wiring is still setup for 6v. Will come with a good 6v battery that I bought about a year ago. Brake master cylinder replaced about 2 years ago. Great interior and body, will need to have paint as the clear coat is peeling off and the is faded in spots around the car. Minimal rust, needs some patching in rear truck floor, frame and body very solid. Its not missing anything to make this a running and driving Mississippi Title, ...

1958 Nash Metropolitian 1958 NASH METROPOLITIAN

1958 Nash Metropolitian that was restored 16 years ago by a avid Nash collector. This 1958 Nash Metropolitan was fully restored and documented in 2003. Since the restoration it has been sparingly driven. The previous owner who performed the restoration was a Nash fanatic having attended many car shows to display his personal example. This 1958 Nash is a beautiful example that has been well preserved. During the restoration the engine went through a full rebuilt and still runs beautifully today. Vehicle has always been well cared for and serviced. Most recently it had an oil, filter change and the carburetor adjusted. "The Metro, as they were lovingly called, sported an Austin A-40 4 cylinder overhead valve 1.5 liter engine with a Zenith downdraft carburetor and aluminum pistons. Pretty advanced for the time. Exotic two-tone colors were the hot ticket in the mid 50's, and the Metro's really looked adorable with their bright two color paint treatments! After World War II, as car production ...

After World War II, as car production started to get back to normal, the British auto makers started back building sports cars, many of which found themselves in the USA. Here in America, Nash Kelvinator Corporation was grinding out "plain vanilla" Nash and Rambler cars, as fast as they could build them, but they wanted to add something interesting into their showrooms, to increase sales traffic. (Nash eventually became American Motors Corp {including Jeep} which eventually got bought by Chrysler Corporation). So, around 1950, Nash hooked up with Austin in England, and with Italian designer, Pinin Farina, who drafted a new car which had the Nash "look" but was actually a British sports car underneath. They named it the Metropolitan and started selling them in 1951. Metros were a huge hit in post-war America. In 1955, they increased the size of the engine to 1500 CC's and did a minor styling update, and the car continued its popularity all the way to 1961. The Metro, as they were lovingly ...

Up for sale we have a classic 1955 Nash Ambassador Custom up for sale located in Jupiter, FL 33458!! This car runs and has normal wear. It has a new starter that was put in about a year ago. The body has some rust on it from age, so could use paint, brakes are in ok condition and could use a new set of tires on it as well. This car has been sitting, so it will need some attention. It does come with the windshield wipers, as they were taken off. The side window does have a crack in it and will eventually need to be replaced. This is a great project car to restore and would look awesome once its done. This is a original 6V system, but we had to put a 12v coil in it to get it running. We have a video of the car running on our You Tube channel, so just cut and paste the link to a new page to view. Everything looks to be original/ stock on the car as well, any questions please feel free to message us. This is listed for local pick up, but we have some national and international carriers we ...
